SEIMENS AC DRIVES

MICROMASTER 440 – Description

Even in the world of drives, there are often forces which are difficult to control. Until the most powerful of our frequency inverters enters the field. The MICROMASTER 440 has been specially designed for those applications which require broader functionality and a greater dynamic response than is usually the case. The sophisticated vector control system ensures a uniformly high drive quality, even when sudden load changes occur. Fast response inputs and positioning deceleration ramps allow movement to target positions even without an encoder. Due to an integrated brake chopper, it works with outstanding precision, even during braking and short declaration ramps. All this is possible within a power range starting at 0.12 kW (0.16 HP) and going up to 250 kW (350 HP).

Omron Inverter-General purpose

Omron Inverters
OMRON Inverters support energy-saving operation of facilities and machines with fine speed control. Models with DeviceNet communications are also provided. Concerning Frequency Inverters, OMRON offers different products in different areas.

Motor Capacity Selection
Before selecting an invertor, first the motor should be chosen. In selecting the motor, first calculate the load inertia for the applications, and then calculate the required capacity and torque.
■Make a simple selection (use Formulas for the required output power)
This method of calculation helps select a motor by calculating the output (W) required by the motor to maintain its regular rotations. It does not include calculation of the effect of acceleration//deceleration. Therefore, make allowance for the calculated value to select a motor. This calculation method can be applied to applications that operate constantly such as fans, conveyers, agitators etc.
